"Franklin is a dynamic and growing community, and a great market for us," said Paula Durham, Verizon Wireless associate director, retail, for Middle Tennessee. "Our customer base is rapidly expanding throughout Williamson County. The new store provides a place for our customers to enjoy convenient access to our products and services."
The 2,500-square-foot, state-of-the-art store opened to the public August 13. It is conveniently located in Thoroughbred Square, adjacent to the movie theater, on Cool Springs Blvd.
On August 31 at 9 a.m., Alderwoman Ann Little, Williamson County Chamber of Commerce ambassadors, Thoroughbred store manager Todd Murrah and Durham will cut the ribbon. Also, Verizon Wireless will present a $500 check to BRIDGES of Williamson County to assist victims of domestic violence in the Franklin area.
Verizon Wireless is involved with efforts to reach victims and reduce family violence nationally, and seeks opportunities to make a difference locally.
"We are pleased be able to assist BRIDGES in meeting the needs of women and children who are victims of violence," Durham said. "We look forward to partnering with other local organizations and agencies committed to fighting domestic violence in Williamson County."
The Friday ribbon-cutting ceremony is open to the public. Refreshments will be served in the store after the cutting.
