KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Verizon Yellow Pages entered Knoxville this month with the kickoff of sales for two new directories - Knoxville South and Northwest. Local business owners now can target their customers with the most unique and affordable advertising options available in the market.
Advanced advertising options include:
- Print and online bundling packages
- Customer Call Tracker
- SuperPages.com performance-based products
"Since opening our Knoxville office in May, the response from the local business community clearly demonstrates the need for a directory that is affordably priced and a recognizable brand," said Stephen Ferarri, Knoxville general sales manager, Verizon Yellow Pages. "We believe in delivering advertising options that fit the needs of both the community and advertiser, whether that's a chain of florists or a family-owned restaurant."
Local Knoxville merchants now can tap into print and online bundling packages and Customer Call Tracker, which allows Verizon advertisers to track ad effectiveness and gather data on their leads through unique phone numbers listed in their yellow pages ads. Advertisers also can choose from several performance-based advertising options such as pay per click, pay for calls or fixed fee ads on SuperPages.com, the nation's most advanced Internet directory and a leading online shopping resource.
"We're here to help local businesses maximize their return on investment," said Ferrari. "With more than a century of Yellow Pages publishing heritage, Verizon Yellow Pages offers customers the best operations, sales and products available in the marketplace."
Tennessee consumers and businesses already use SuperPages.com to find their local information and rate local merchants such as restaurants, florists and hair salons with the review feature. In fact, Tennessee ranks among the top 15 states for SuperPages.com usage.
The Knoxville South directory will be distributed in early 2007 and the Northwest in summer 2007. Both directories will feature a Dining Your Way! guide highlighting local restaurants, menus and coupon pages. Earlier this year, Verizon launched sales in Nashville with plans to distribute three comprehensive directories in late 2006 and 2007. Advertising sales for Knoxville are in progress through early November 2006. For more information, call 865-558-4228.

This year alone, Verizon has introduced its yellow pages products in, Salem, Ore.; Homestead, Fla.; and Tacoma, Wash. Currently, Verizon publishes more than 1,300 directory titles nationwide.
Verizon Yellow Pages is hiring approximately 30 new employees in the Knoxville area.
