Wishing the best for V Team in Chennai, India following devastating cyclone
On Tuesday, a devastating Cyclone made landfall on India's east coast this week, bringing 70-mph wind and torrential rain to the city of Chennai.
Our thoughts remain with our V Team and their loved ones in the affected areas as they begin their recovery efforts. We encourage you to take advantage of the resources available to help during times of need, including:
- The Verizon Employee Assistance Program (EAP), which is here to provide numerous avenues of support when you need it. You can connect with the EAP internationally via the web, or for U.S. Domestic support call 1-888-441-8674 or visit the U.S. website.
- VtoV, the employee relief program, designed to provide aid for Verizon employees displaced from their homes due to natural disasters or domestic violence. Non U.S. employees are eligible to donate and request aid, by submitting an application. (Please note: varying laws, taxes and regulations require that grant-approved employees be part of an alternate process not administered by e4e Relief. Details are available upon request.)
Get involved: when disaster strikes, our V Team wants to help. This is a great time to think about donating to VtoV. Donations can be made by payroll deduction or credit card and are available to receive a matching gift through the Verizon Foundation. Get all the information at the VtoV page on Inside Verizon.
myPlan + a new Netflix & Max perk = ❤️??
We just announced myPlan’s newest perk for Verizon customers: a Netflix and Max ad-tier bundle for just $10/month. That gives our customer a savings of 40% per month and plenty of streaming content for the whole family.
Verizon offers our customers perks on their favorite services, including Disney+, AppleOne +play credits (to save on more streaming and content, Walmart+, TravelPass and more) and more, for $10/month per perk. (Psst … employees get these perks – including the new Netflix & Max bundle – for just $5/month.)
Plus, we caught up with Frank Boulben, Chief Revenue Officer for Verizon Consumer Group, to hear what the new plan means for Verizon, our customers and our competitors.
A milestone of a million for Fixed Wireless Access (FWA)
It’s a monumental milestone for Verizon Business: one million Fixed Wireless Access connections as of September 2023.

FWA brings broadband to businesses in locations that are remote, lacking infrastructure or where laying cable is cost-prohibitive. This connectivity is critical for primary operations, temporary site connectivity, or dedicated use (like backup, security, or safety applications).
In 2022, Verizon had 120,000 FWA connections, adding more than 900,000 in just over a year – two months ahead of plan. Congratulations to the team for embodying the Verizon Credo with your dedication, hard work and innovation in providing solutions to our customers.
She had the idea, grit and gumption; the Verizon Small Business Digital Ready program had her back.
The Verizon Small Business Digital Ready program provides big benefits to small business owners. Small business owners can learn to improve their digital acumen, financial management, media marketing and more – for free.
Deirdre Mathis, owner of the WanderStay Houston Hostel, was thriving as it hosted guests from all over the world. That was, until COVID-19 cratered the travel industry. But Deirdre didn’t give up, she dug in and worked hard, gaining tools and taking courses from the Small Business Digital Ready program. She also received her first grant from the program.
Today, Deirdre thrives in her original business and a new location. She credits much of her success to what she learned in Verizon's free Small Business Digital Ready courses.
Watch as Verizon's State and Government Affairs Director Tandra LeMay surprised Deidre, presenting her with a check for $10,000 to help WanderStay continue to grow.
