The latest on the coronavirus.

We’re learning new developments about the COVID-19 coronavirus every day. As always, your health and safety remains our top priority.

With that in mind, we want to ensure that all V Teamers know about our coronavirus resource page on VZWeb. There, you can find updates from the CDC, health and job safety information, the latest travel restrictions and a link to ask questions (our Verizon Media friends can access this information on "The Street").

It’s all part of keeping you informed as we navigate this together.

A special Up To Speed episode from Wilmington, NC.

We went on the road this week and paid a visit to our bustling call center in Wilmington, NC. Jess got to meet many of the friendly customer service folks who assist our customers each and every day. Helping as Up To Speed guest hosts for the day were Laurel Sparks, Chris Houvouras and Giovanni Fischetti.

Thanks for the help and for all you do!

The latest LG phone is coming to Verizon.

And now the big phone announcement of the week: The LG V60 Thin-Q 5G U-W is coming soon and will be available to Verizon customers.

Designed for creatives, consumers and business people, the phone will take advantage of our blazingly fast 5G Ultra Wide Band network for video streaming with virtually no buffering and immersive multiplayer mobile gaming.

The LG V60 Thin-Q 5G U-W offers a cinematic 6.8-inch display, a detachable second screen and a 64-megapixel multi-camera system that keeps photos super detailed even when you zoom with the hi-res lens.

In addition, LG’s Advanced Steady Cam enables smooth and stable 8K video while a quad-mic 3D recording system captures tons of balanced audio. The phone uses Voice Bokeh to minimize background noise and make voices stand out.

Stay tuned for pre-order details.

Pushing our blazing 5G speeds even faster.

Did you hear about the record speed we hit?

We teamed up with Samsung, Motorola Mobility, and Qualcomm to demonstrate 5G peak speeds of 4.2 gigabits per second on our live 5G network!

How did we do it? Using carrier aggregation, the companies combined eight separate channels of millimeter-wave (mmWave) spectrum to achieve the multi-gigabit speeds on Motorola’s upcoming flagship smartphone.

“We continue to innovate and introduce advanced technologies on our 5G network that will help us reach never-before seen mobile capabilities and create new and exciting use cases across the consumer and enterprise landscape,” said Adam Koeppe, who leads Technology Planning. “Using 5G carrier aggregation, we are able to achieve unprecedented mobile speeds and bring the massive bandwidth available with mmWave spectrum to life,” said Koeppe.

It’s another example of 5G Built Right. You can learn more about the test here.
