Marketing teams kicks off with renewed purpose

The marketing team held their annual kickoff this week with an eye toward all of the many exciting things happening at Verizon, including our award-winning networks, building 5G Right, making a positive impact on society, and working for a purpose-driven company. The team discussed how to best share these stories with the world in 2020. We can’t wait to see how they will continue to bring the Verizon vision to life.

Yesterday, Verizon announced a partnership with Synchrony to offer a credit card specifically designed for Verizon customers. “Verizon’s loyal customers expect the best possible experiences and today’s announcement extends that commitment to the credit card market,” said Ronan Dunne, Executive Vice President and Group CEO of Verizon Consumer. Verizon partners with top leader in esports

Verizon is partnering with the professional esports organization, Dignitas, to open a new esports facility in Los Angeles. “We like to forge new things faster than anyone else in the world,” said Christian Guirnalda of Verizon. “We were the first to 5G, and now we’re the first to create an esports facility built on 5G from the ground up.” The facility will pair some of the best talent in esports with the 5G Ultra Wideband, as Verizon and Dignitas work together to pioneer the future of esports.

Fios Mix & Match, Google Stadia and Tony Hawk

This week, V Teamers mixed and mingled with the media to talk about the new Fios Mix and Match plan and announced a deal with Google Stadia. Skateboard Legend and all around good guy Tony Hawk rolled through to hang with the team.

Going to catch the Pro Bowl this Sunday?

Still a week until the biggest BIG game, but lots of fun to be had watching the league’s best go head to head at Sunday’s Pro Bowl. Be sure to check out how we put 5G on display in our latest ad.

Two Purpose Champions with Texas-sized hearts

During the El Paso shooting last August, Carlos Oliva and Gabriel Esparza kept their employees safe and secure. Over the next few months, their team contributed over 400 hours of volunteer time in the community - visiting local shelters, handing out water, starting a blood drive and just being there for the community they belong to.

Thanks, Gabriel and Carlos. You are true heroes helping to move us all #ForwardTogether
