On May 15, you’re gaining access to one of the best HR systems in the world when we launch V Team Central, Powered by Workday. As a people leader, you’ll have the right instruments, better digital experiences and more autonomy to be a rockstar leader and take your team’s experience to the next level.

What can you expect on May 15?

  • Better planning to take the right actions. A new all-in-one “My Team Dashboard” with performance data, learning history, and more, as well as quick links to take central HR actions such as changing supervisors and beginning the hiring process, makes it easier to take the right actions.
  • More tools to lead your team’s growth. Support for performance check-ins and development actions, as well as a career profile where your team can share skills and interests, will support more robust conversations with your team members.
  • Ownership over transactions. We’ve simplified processes so you can initiate and complete and know exactly where we are in the approval process. Be sure to partner with HR and your leadership to take the best and most timely actions for your team.
  • Help exactly where you need it. Help Text, Job Aids, Videos and more will be available right as you’re completing transactions. On the intranet, an enhanced Verizon Digital Assistant and search.
  • Flexibility to work how you want to work. Notifications within V Team Central, on the Intranet and in Gmail enable you to get alerted in many places.
  • A best friend in search. Search for a person, process, Verizon training.
  • A new way to manage headcount. Position Management will be our new staffing model. You’ll gain consistency, efficiency and another tool for workforce planning.
  • The best technology around. Workday is a powerful cloud solution with machine learning. That means, the more we use it, the more it works for us.

3 actions to support a smooth transition.

  1. Check out our new V Team Central resources site. Here you’ll find early access to the Job Aids, videos and more resources that will be in the system. Check them out now to learn about key changes.
  2. Finish all team transactions by April 28, including moving workers, creating job requisitions (non-represented), and managing leaves of absence. Please note:

    • Time reporting and approvals are not impacted by the system transition.
    • For questions on the hiring process, please contact your recruiter.
    • You’ll receive more information about managing leaves after April 28.
    • To Dos will pause May 1 and re-display starting May 15. Note: Return to Work confirmation To Dos will continue through May 10.
