But first…
Nashville tornado recovery efforts
Our Response Team is on the ground in Tennessee and mobile assets have been deployed to help communities and first responders stay connected. International Women’s Day
Sunday is International Women’s Day, which honors the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women around the world.
This year, we’re celebrating the 100th anniversary of the 19th amendment to the U.S. Constitution by highlighting trailblazing women who’ve made a real difference in the last hundred years. In fact, there were so many, we couldn't fit them all in. We want you to get involved. Check out our UTS social channels starting Saturday night to see who we feature.

National Employee Appreciation Day
In honor of National Employee Appreciation Day, Hans recorded a personal message in which he expressed his gratitude to V Teamers: “You have all been through Verizon 2.0 which has positioned us [well] for the future. It’s a lot of hard work that you do every day with your colleagues and customers and I would personally like to thank you.”
Fios gets faster.
Speaking of appreciation, now customers will appreciate more reasons to switch to Fios. Our latest ads highlight how much customers don’t want hidden fees, in coffee or cable, so Mix & Match takes that out of the picture. This week, we’re also taking things up a level by upgrading the base Mix & Match speeds to 200 and 400 megabits per second. This makes the move to Fios even sweeter!
The Samsung S20 series
Like the latest and greatest? The Samsung S20 series is available at Verizon as of today. Both the S20+ and the S20 Ultra have a wealth of features and let you connect to our 5G Ultra Wideband network. Get more info at VerizonWireless.com.
Emory Healthcare partnership
Speaking of 5G, we’ve installed 5G Ultra Wideband service at the Emory Healthcare Innovation Hub in Atlanta, making it the nation’s first 5G healthcare innovation lab. We’re teaming up to develop and test 5G-enabled use cases that could transform the healthcare industry.
A Purpose Champion - Sasha Shekhter
Our featured Purpose Coin Champion this week is Alexander (Sasha) Shekhter. Sasha is a Verizon lawyer with a techie heart who runs our strategic litigation team. He drove millions of dollars of cost out of the company with his legal work and business acumen, then designed a playbook to help legal teams company-wide.
In addition, when Sasha found that Google Forms was not offering the functionality he needed, he not only contacted Google but re-wrote the code himself on his own time.
Sasha, thanks for all that you do to move the world forward!
