👏 Customer Service Appreciation Week

It's a tradition during the first week of October to share our appreciation for all our hard-working customer-facing V Teamers.

We also had some appreciative V Teamers show their appreciation for their teammates through shout-outs on Slack. Here are some of our favorites:

  1. Crystal Segars - a senior rep in Customer Service (Fraud) from Greenville, South Carolina who just braved Hurricane Helene.

She shouted out supervisor Terrance Manning (aka TJ), saying: "TJ checked on me and my family every day, multiple times daily! He is the best!"

  2. Marilyn Cohen - a supervisor in Revenue Assurance - Billing, sent her shout-out to the PCD team: Anthony Campbell, Kiara Swint-Fitzgerald, and Theresa Fox.

She said: "These three are an integral part of the RA team. Their work is invaluable to ensuring that orders are corrected so customers can resolve order issues."

  3. Finally, Haley Owens, a senior coordinator in Customer Service, and Leon Goddard, a supervisor in Customer Service, both had a shoutout for Team Goddard, consisting of Carolina Lopez, Latisa Shaw, Tameka Highsmith, Zuri Sensabaugh, Tasha Kinlaw, Nicole Anderson, Marie Michele Delice, Monalisa Marshall, Erika Wright-Cephus, and Dawn Agnole. Haley said:

"Team Goddard always goes above and beyond, not only for your customers, but your coworkers as well! And, we could not do it without our amazing supervisor, Leon Goddard! "

We have some goodies for those who participated in these shoutouts, and a big thank you for their diligence and care for our customers.

🛜 Verizon Business Fixed Wireless

During the 3Q24 Earnings Webcast, it was Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) broadband that was the star of the show. But if you don’t know much about FWA for business, be sure to tune into the following videos:

Pretty soon, you’ll be able to talk about our business FWA like a pro.

💡 Innovation Accelerator Event

In July, Chris Halton came on Up To Speed and asked employees from all parts of the business to submit their ideas for new, groundbreaking Verizon products or services.

Last week, three teams were left standing to present their ideas before a VLC-filled panel and the ideas were so good the judges unanimously voted to fund all three.

  • Gold: Andy Chen, Ryan Forsythe, William Merkent
  • Silver: Christopher Rutledge, Jeff Riggitano, Bharadwaj Vermuri, Steven Mancuso
  • Bronze: Ajith Lenin, Prabhuram Muralikrishnan, Balakrishnan Palanisamy

All the participants will be involved in seeing their ideas come to life. Congratulations to all the creative V Teamers, for creating these game-changers!
