🍃This Mint Mobile offer is not-so-fresh; but our counter-offer is TOTAL-ly like a deep breath on a spring day.
Minty freshness? To hear Mint Mobile (a T-Mobile subsidiary) tell it, they have a fresh new offer that gives Verizon customers an unlimited plan at a rate of just $15/month, with up to four lines at no added cost when they switch.
More like freshLESS: Unfortunately, it leaves a pretty bad taste in your mouth when you find out that this discount is only applied for the first three months; and there are added taxes and fees charged to the customer – for each line. Oh, and that “unlimited” plan? Only if unlimited means “a 40 GB data plan that then slows down after 40GB is exceeded.”
A better Verizon Value: Verizon Value isn’t one to waste an opportunity, which is why – within 24 hours of getting wind of the Mint offer – they created a counter-offer on Visible and Total Wireless:
- Visible is now offering T-Mobile single line customers the chance to bring their T-Mobile number and get a Visible plan for $15 per month (taxes and fees included, not extra) with a 5-year price guarantee.
- Total Wireless is offering new customers who bring their own device to Total Wireless from any T-Mobile brand can get the Total 5G Unlimited plan for only $15 per month per line when switching two or more lines, with a five-year price guarantee with taxes and fees included.

🛰️ NBD, we’re just investing in satellite communications, that’s all.
Okay, maybe it’s a little bit of a big deal when the best terrestrial mobile network out there teams up with Skylo, a pioneer in Non-Terrestrial Network communications, to launch a commercial direct-to-device messaging service.
What does it mean? It means never being without coverage or peace of mind. This partnership would give customers on certain smartphones access to emergency messaging and location sharing even when a terrestrial cellular network is not available.
What else? It also means next year Verizon will offer the ability to text anywhere via satellite for customers with select devices.
