⏱️ … because working at Verizon while wrangling a houseful of pets, keeping up with three kiddos and completing her college coursework sounds like of magic to us.
When she finds herself with downtime – another magical occurrence – Jessica indulges in her affinity for ink. Her tattoos include a storybook-style fox and owl inspired by her two daughters, soon to be joined by a raccoon for her one-year-old. She’s also marked with these words of wisdom, “For it to get any better, it's got to get worse for a day.” Well said— er, inked.
☝️What was your first job with Verizon?
I was a Coordinator of Business Operations.
🎨Do you have hobbies?
I paint watercolors and enjoy hiking.
🐦 Pets?
One dog, two cats. Morty is a Jack Russell Terrier mix. And my two black cats — Tuna and Olive — look exactly the same, except one is 13 years old and one is four.
⛰️What’s been your biggest challenge?
I work full-time, have three kids, and I'm currently going back to school for a bachelor's degree in business management. Just trying to manage all of that at the same time is a challenge.
🏠 Besides hiring you, what's the best thing Verizon’s done in your five years with the company?
Allowing us to work from home during the pandemic. Not everybody had that opportunity, but Verizon really leaned into it to accommodate employees.
🌸What’s been your best vacation?
Maui, Hawaii. We went there on our honeymoon.
🖌️ Dream job?
Two answers. If I could make a living just painting, that would be fun. On the other hand, I’ve always been fascinated with the idea of being a lawyer.

Reliable. Funny. Team player.
