Sixty-five percent of enterprise customers are now using cloud technology, services and solutions as part of their IT infrastructure, according to Verizon Enterprise Solutions’ State of the Market: Enterprise Cloud 2014 report. In addition, IT — specifically the CIO/CTO — controls more than 80 percent of total cloud spend within the organization and personally oversees more than half (62 percent) of cloud purchases.

Verizon Expands Cloud Solutions, With Secure Cloud Interconnect
Verizon addressed the growing need for organizations to connect more than one cloud seamlessly and securely, with the launch of its Secure Cloud Interconnect service. Enterprise organizations will be able to use Verizon’s Private IP service to connect to multiple cloud services including the Verizon Cloud, Amazon Web Services, HP, Salesforce, Google and Microsoft Azure, with additional major cloud services expected to come online in the near future.
