Verizon Business Implements Communications Network for Leading German Automotive Manufacturer

READING, U.K. - BMW AG, one of the world's leading automotive engineering companies, has selected Verizon Business to enhance its communications network in Europe.

BMW AG will implement Verizon Private IP to provide a consolidated communications infrastructure linking 19 subsidiaries of the company in Eastern and South Eastern Europe with its headquarters in Munich. The three-year implementation is designed to consolidate business-critical applications such as accounting systems while providing additional scalability for future growth in the region.

BMW AG decided to connect its regional operations over a scalable IP-based infrastructure to increase efficiency, particularly as its regional operations continued to grow. Verizon Private IP was chosen as the best fit to support the company's current and future business objectives.
