Retailers and solution providers from around the globe will converge on New York City this weekend for the National Retail Federation’s 2016 ‘Big Show’ which kicks off this Sunday, January 17 at the Jacob Javits Center. Verizon Enterprise Solutions will return to showcase the latest business solutions for retailers – including the company’s leading network, IT, mobility and security assets  – which have become ‘must haves’ in today’s fiercely competitive marketplace where the customer is in command like never before. “Today’s consumers expect high-touch interactions and seamless experiences across retail channels in exchange for their business and loyalty,” said Michele Dupré, group vice president of Retail, Hospitality and Distribution for Verizon Enterprise Solutions.  “These expectations combined with advances in technology are continuing to drive powerful transformation across the retail industry.”

Verizon Enterprise Solutions’ presence at the ‘Big Show’ will include:

A walk in your customer’s footsteps:

The Verizon booth (#1521 on Level 1) will feature a ‘storefront’ housing the various touchpoints that customers experience when shopping and the underlying technology powering each system.  A host of demonstrations designed and delivered by the company’s retail experts and partners will be showcased to educate and spark fresh ideas for improving the customer experience and streamlining business operations. Whether building a Unified Commerce platform for empowering customers to seamlessly leverage all of a retailer’s channels-- mobile, online, contact centers or in-store -- or creating an environment for connecting with today’s customers who are living in a digital world, Verizon Enterprise Solutions works with retailers around the globe to implement the foundational infrastructure and business solutions, such as Verizon Digital Media Services, that are paramount for 21st century marketplace success.

Sponsorship of ROI Super Saturday:

Verizon Enterprise Solutions is a proud returning sponsor of the Retail Orphan Initiative ‘Super Saturday’ event on January 16 -- the unofficial kick off to the ‘Big Show’ – which will bring together industry experts for educational seminars while raising funds to help vulnerable children around the world.  Verizon’s designated charitable organization is The Joseph School in Haiti which will be the beneficiary of much needed solar power electricity due to a lack of basic utility infrastructure.  In addition, Janet Schijns, vice president of marketing, with Verizon Enterprise Solutions will speak to ‘The Future of 5G Networking and the Impact on Retail’ at 3:15pm ET. In addition, Verizon is sponsoring a table top discussion on Next Generation Networks for Retail which will feature the benefits of Software defined networking for the industry.

#TweetTheBus:

Visit the Verizon booth (#1521) for a ticket to board the company’s mobile hospitality lounge which will be positioned within close proximity to the Javits Center for those wanting to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the show floor.   Looking for a cup of coffee and place to charge your phone?  Skip the long lines for refreshments and electrical outlets and join Verizon on the bus.

Tech support:

Have a question about your device?  The Verizon booth (#1521) will feature Verizon Wireless tech support and a helpful robot that will be on hand to work with Verizon customers on issues that may crop up while at NRF. Verizon Enterprise Solutions has collaborated with retailers for decades and continues to innovate and power the solutions that are enabling digital transformation across the industry. From professional and managed services to advanced communications solutions such as contact centers and platforms for mobilizing operations, Verizon offers the complete package for the retail industry.
