Our wireless network is running at 100% of normal performance within the Thomas Fire coverage area. We’re closely monitoring the situation as conditions continue to change.
To date, we’ve loaned 133 wireless devices to emergency response organizations supporting the Southern California wildfires. We've also added capacity to cell sites near Lake Cachuma to handle increased network traffic while the Cal Fire incident command center is operational.
Displaced residents are welcome to use our cell phone charging stations and internet-connected laptops at the UC Santa Barbara and Ventura County Fairgrounds evacuation centers. Verizon Response Teams are on site and happy to assist.
We’re providing unlimited domestic talk, text and data to Verizon customers in areas hardest hit by the Thomas Fire -- at no extra charge from December 18-19, 2017. Please click here for more information.
Verizon retail stores are open to assist customers with their needs during this difficult time. However, active fires and poor air quality may impact some store hours. Please click here to find nearby locations and hours.
Our next update will be posted tomorrow at 4:30 p.m. Pacific Time.
