Verizon’s strategic approach: giving people the ability to do more.

NEW YORK – Verizon has introduced a campaign called Humanability that illustrates the company’s strategic approach of partnering with visionaries to use technology and data to turn innovative ideas into realities.

Lowell McAdam, chairman and CEO, said: “At Verizon we have one mission: to give people the ability to do more in this world. We're asking big questions like, ‘what if we could improve air quality and the flow of traffic simultaneously through technology?’ and ‘what if doctors don't actually need to be in the same room as patients to save their lives?’”

Examples include a sustainability film showing how Verizon’s intelligent edge network gives cities the ability to study and analyze the flow of traffic to make communities safer, greener and smarter.

Another film about keeping the food chain safe shows how a sensor the size of a nickel can help stop food poisoning.

McAdam said, “Technology is only as good as the humanity behind it. Our job is to marry the two so everyone, everywhere can benefit from the promise of the digital world. At Verizon, we don't wait for the future, we build it.”
