The Voice of the Customer - Tesco Talks to Verizon

Our recent news release talked about how Verizon has helped Tesco migrate to a single global network infrastructure, which will underpin Tesco’s ongoing application and infrastructure centralization program. In this video, hear Tomas Kadlec, who headed up the project, talking about the importance of technology to Tesco overall, and his experience of working with Verizon.

Tomas Kadlec is the Group Infrastructure IT Director for Tesco, the world’s largest online grocery retailer, the UK’s largest retailer, and world’s third largest retailer. A Prague engineering graduate, Tomas has played a number of leadership roles in technology management over 20 years, the last 15 years of which are in the retail sector in different countries.

Current responsibilities include leading the international team including designing and building the Enterprise class technology platform to integrate the different parts of Tesco group including Retail, online and the bank.

He has most recently globalized Tesco’s organization and technology platform. This includes building one truly global team for desktop/collaboration, network, and a consolidated data center with strong central support management and monitoring framework.
