DALLAS — Just in time for the busy holiday shopping season, Verizon Wireless has opened a new state-of-the-art Communications Store in Northeast Mall, 1101 Melbourne, bringing to 30 the number of Verizon Wireless Communications Stores in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
The new Communications Store features a variety of products and services, including the newly expanded Call Texas SM local calling plan. The Call Texas SM calling area encompasses Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio, Sherman/Denison, Waco, Gainesville, Corpus Christi and the Rio Grande Valley areas. Statewide toll-free calling from the service area is also incorporated in these plans.
"Our customer base is rapidly expanding in the North Texas region and our new Northeast Mall store will provide customers with increased convenience and accessibility to our products and services," said Cindy Patterson, regional president for Verizon Wireless in North Texas.
To kick off the holiday season, Verizon Wireless has several great stocking-stuffers. With any purchase and activation of a new Verizon Wireless phone, customers will receive a certificate for 500 minutes of free game play (a $100 value) at GameWorks ® at Grapevine Mills Mall. Also, hot items from the "Safety Wall" feature hands-free devices, including headsets or ear-pieces, starting at $14.99. Verizon Wireless encourages the use of hands-free devices while driving and reminds everyone to drive responsibly and call with care this holiday season.
Grand opening festivities at the store include a joint ribbon cutting ceremony with the Hurst-Euless-Bedford and Northeast Tarrant Chambers of Commerce at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12, and an appearance from Dallas Cowboys player David LaFleur from 3-5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9.
