Verizon Wireless Expands Service Coverage In Hillsborough And South Plainfield
MORRISTOWN, NJ — Verizon Wireless has expanded service coverage in Somerset and Middlesex Counties with a new cell site in Hillsborough and one in South Plainfield.
"The new cell sites will provide customers who live in and travel through these areas with greater wireless network coverage and increased clarity when making wireless calls," said Michele White, Verizon Wireless Director of Engineering in northern New Jersey.
The Hillsborough site improves service on Route 206 from Duke Parkway East to Farm Road, and on sections of Millstone River Road, New Camplain Road, Falcon Road, Sunnymead Road, Roycefield Road, Auten Road and Triangle Road.
The South Plainfield site improves service on Route 287 from South Randolphville Road to New Durham Road, and on sections of Route 529 Stelton Road, Durham Road, Washington Avenue and Metlars Lane.
The new sites are part of a $4 billion investment program to improve and extend the reach of the Verizon Wireless nationwide network. More than $300 million of that investment is being used to stay ahead of the growing demand for Verizon Wireless products and services in the New York Metro area.
