ORANGEBURG, NY — Verizon Wireless has expanded service coverage in Rockland County with a new cell site in Congers.
"The new cell site will provide customers who live in and travel through the area with greater wireless network coverage and increased clarity when making wireless calls," said Heidi Hemmer, Verizon Wireless Director of Engineering in metropolitan New York.
The site, located in Hemlock Corporate Park, improves service between Routes 9W and 303 in Congers.
The new site is part of a $4 billion investment program this year to improve and extend the reach of the Verizon Wireless nationwide network. More than $300 million of that investment is being used to stay ahead of the growing demand for Verizon Wireless products and services in the New York Metro area.
