Camp Sunshine Teens to Get Star Treatment for *NSYNC Sound Check and Concert

ATLANTA, GA — While thousands of *NSYNC fans are getting ready for the boy band's concert on Saturday, August 11, teens from Camp Sunshine and their siblings will be living a day in the life of a star. Twenty teens, family members and friends from the camp will get to see the world's most popular band "up close and personal" during their sound check party at 3:30 p.m. and will stay to see the Atlanta concert that night, thanks to *NSYNC 2001 POPODYSSEY tour sponsor Verizon Wireless.

Together, Verizon Wireless and Camp Sunshine chose eight campers to see the band -- each camper will also be able to bring one sibling, family member or friend as their guest. Camp Sunshine provides programs throughout the year to give children with cancer the opportunity to enjoy activities like swimming, making friends and going to concerts. Amy Moosbrugger, program director for Camp Sunshine said, "Children and teens with cancer have to grow up rather quickly - it is hard to be childlike when dealing with a life threatening disease. Thanks to the kindness and generosity of Verizon Wireless, these children will not only be given a chance to see *NSYNC up close, they will be given an opportunity to be a kid again."

According to Jim McGean, president-Georgia Region for Verizon Wireless, "As a sponsor, we knew we had the opportunity to do something very special with our *NSYNC tickets. Being able to treat Camp Sunshine's amazing youngsters to a concert with their favorite band really warms our hearts."

Prior to the concert, the group will be picked up in a stretch limo provided by Ultra/Denmark Limousine Services. The limo will transport them to the Georgia Dome, where they will be given access to the sound check party - an intimate gathering during which the teens can take photos, ask questions of the band and seek autographs. Following the rehearsal, food and drink will be served in the Verizon Wireless hospitality suite, and at 9 p.m., the band will come on stage for the big show.

*NSYNC's appearance in Atlanta is one stop on the group's 38-city tour that kicked off May 23 in Jacksonville, Fla. The tour will conclude in late August.
