BAY SHORE, NY — In response to the growing demand for the company's voice and data products and services, Verizon Wireless, the nation's largest wireless provider, has opened a new store located in the South Shore Mall in Bay Shore. The store is the company's third retail location in Suffolk County.
"Demand for our wireless services is growing steadily, as more people take advantage of digital calling plans like SingleRateSM East, our popular Mobile Web services, and [FREEUP], a prepaid wireless service designed for young adults," said Eric Hutter, assistant store manager.
Store hours are Monday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., and Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The Bay Shore Communications Store is one of 12 new retail locations Verizon Wireless plans to open this year in the New York Metro area to make shopping for wireless products and services easier and more convenient for customers. The new stores also will create more than 150 sales and customer service positions as well as business opportunities for local construction, architectural and real estate firms.
