KNOXVILLE, TN — Verizon Wireless customers in Cleveland now have access to the highest quality, most advanced wireless service as a result of new technology deployed by Verizon Wireless as part of its national $4 billion network improvement program.
"With the addition of digital service, we are now able to provide more comprehensive service to our Cleveland customers than ever before," said Ryan Chandler, Verizon Wireless' East Tennessee retail general manager. "Our customers will be very pleased and notice a sizeable difference in the benefits that go along with digital service."
Some of the benefits Cleveland customers will now be able to take advantage of are improved and extended digital coverage throughout Cleveland along Highway 11, clearer and wider-ranging reception and batteries that last much longer due to the lower amount of power required for digital phones. Customers can also enjoy MobileWebSM service with email, Mobile IP and Mobile Office to connect to the internet using a laptop and convenient price plans such as National SingleRateSM Service.
Although the company has introduced digital service in Cleveland, Chandler noted that the company's dual-mode digital phones will still work in those portions of the network operating in analog mode.
