Verizon Wireless Names Nancy Clark As President Of Great Plains Region

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Verizon Wireless, the nation's leading wireless provider, announced today it has named Nancy B. Clark as president of its Great Plains Region, effective June 1. She will report to Dan Mead, Midwest Area president —Verizon Wireless. Clark most recently served as the company's vice president of customer service.

In her new role, Clark will direct sales and operations in the Great Plains Region, a territory that encompasses Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota and Nebraska. She succeeds Viki Radden.

"Nancy has made enormous contributions to Verizon Wireless during her tenure here, particularly in the customer satisfaction arena," said Dan Mead. "Her appointment underscores our focus on customer service and we are pleased to have her in this important leadership position."

Clark has been with Verizon Wireless and its legacy companies for 17 years, most recently serving as vice president of customer service for Midwest Area since 2002. In that position, she was responsible for the Area's six customer service centers, including the center in Murfreesboro, Tenn., which supports LNP call activity company-wide. When Verizon Wireless was formed in 2000, she assumed responsibility for the Midwest Area's distribution channel operations for two years. Clark began her telecommunications career in 1987 with the former GTE, holding positions of increasing responsibility in finance, marketing and sales for the company's Texas and California markets.

Clark earned a bachelor's degree in finance from Michigan State University in 1987, and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Houston in 1992. She will be based in Plymouth, Minn.
