Verizon Wireless Toms River, New Jersey, Store Provides Donation To Aid Local Children's Shelter
TOMS RIVER, NJ — Verizon Wireless recently celebrated the opening of its newest Communications Store in Toms River at 1428 Hooper Avenue. The 8,600-square-foot "superstore" will be the company's largest in the Philadelphia Tri-State Region. Verizon Wireless also owns and operates two other retail locations in Ocean County including a store in the Ocean County Mall and in Lakewood.
To kick-off the Toms River Store Grand Opening, Verizon Wireless provided a $1,500 donation to Ocean's Harbor House a safe haven for young people, ages 10-21, who are homeless, have been abused or abandoned. The donation was made through the company's HopeLinesm program, a phone-recycling program, which focuses on putting wireless products and services to work to combat domestic violence and assist victims in emergency domestic violence situations.
As a result of HopeLine and related phone recycling programs Verizon Wireless has organized since 1995, the company has collected 2 million wireless phones for the benefit of domestic violence victims and advocacy groups. For more information, visit www.verizonwireless.com/hopeline.
