BEDMINSTER, NJ — Verizon Wireless announced today that it has completed the purchase, initially announced in January, of spectrum licenses in 10 North Carolina markets from Urban Comm-North Carolina for $68.5 million.
"We will put this spectrum to work in our network to benefit our North Carolina customers, by having the capacity in place when they need it to meet their growing demand for voice and data services and by expanding America's best, most reliable network to new areas of the state," said Jerry Fountain, president of Verizon Wireless' Carolinas/Tennessee region.
