Verizon Wireless Strengthens Local Network in Southern Lawrence County, Pennsylvania
WARRENDALE, PA — Area consumers and businesses will benefit from enhancements made to the local Verizon Wireless network with the company's upgrade to its Lawrence Junction cell site. The service improvement to the nation's most reliable network enhances calling capacity along routes 60 and 168 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike in southern Lawrence County.
"The benefits of this network improvement for our customers in this area include fewer dropped calls and clearer reception because more customers will be able to use their wireless phones concurrently," said Roger Tang, presidentOhio/Pennsylvania Region, Verizon Wireless. "Our focus is on providing more capacity and the highest reliability on our network."
Last year, Verizon Wireless invested $250 million in Pennsylvania to maintain and enhance its network for customers. The network improvements increased network reliability and paved the way for customers to better take advantage of this year's newest wireless voice and data products and services, including more sophisticated camera phones and advanced Get It Now® downloads.
Since its inception, Verizon Wireless has consistently spent more than $4 billion annually-and more than $5 billion last year-to expand and enhance its network nationwide.
