Verizon Wireless Awards HopeLine Grant To Family Counseling Center Of Fulton County, New York
GLOVERSVILLE, NY — Verizon Wireless will present Family Counseling Center of Fulton County with a $1,250 grant from the company's HopeLine® Foundation. The grant will be used to create domestic violence safety kits for abuse survivors. This grant is one of 13 grants totaling $35,000 being awarded across Upstate New York to help organizations involved in domestic violence prevention and education introduce new programs, expand existing ones or add facilities to better serve clients.
"The Family Counseling Center of Fulton County is very excited about receiving a grant from the Verizon Wireless HopeLine Program," said domestic violence program manager, Shannon Monnat. "Funding will assist us in providing survivors of domestic violence with enhanced feelings of safety and well-being, resulting in a greater ability to make plans for the future and heal from abusive experiences."
John O'Malley, public relations manager for Verizon Wireless' Upstate New York Region, will present the grant to Monnat on Monday, November 21st at 1:00 PM. The check presentation will take place at the offices of the Family Counseling Center of Fulton County, 11-21 Broadway, Gloversville, New York.
