Verizon Wireless Names Joe Romo As Store Manager Of Its Newest San Antonio, Texas Location

SAN ANTONIO, TX — Verizon Wireless, owner and operator of the nation's most reliable network, has named Joe Romo as manager of its newest retail location off Military Drive in San Antonio. In this position, Romo will be responsible for customer service, retail sales, inventory, merchandising and employee training for the store, located at 7635 N.W. Loop 410.

Romo was recently joined by the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce and the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in celebrating the grand opening of the new Verizon Wireless Communications Store. Romo also presented a donation to Family Violence Prevention Services in support of their ongoing work to prevent domestic violence.

Romo will oversee the store's HopeLine® wireless phone collection program in an effort to further combat local domestic violence. Through HopeLine, Verizon Wireless collects no-longer-used wireless phones, regardless of make, model or carrier, to be refurbished or recycled in an environmentally-friendly way. Proceeds are donated to domestic violence prevention advocacy groups or used to purchase wireless phones with free airtime for use by survivors.

Romo joined Verizon Wireless in 2001, and previously served as a retail sales manager. He earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Dallas.
