Jabra Debuts First-Ever Convertible Bluetooth Stereo Headset Available At Verizon Wireless

ORLANDO, FL, BASKING RIDGE, NJ, and CHICAGO, IL — From the CTIA WIRELESS 2007® show, Verizon Wireless, operator of the nation's most reliable wireless network, and Jabra®, a leading brand of audio products for mobile consumers, contact centers and office professionals, today announced the ground-breaking Jabra BT8010 convertible Bluetooth® stereo headset with a personalized phonebook and caller ID. The multi-functional Jabra BT8010 will be sold as a standard headset but can be turned into a fully functional Bluetooth stereo headset for listening to music with the addition of a separately purchased stereo earpiece.

"We set out to create a headset that combines high performance mono and stereo headset functionality with the design users have come to expect from Jabra," said David Wood, senior vice president and general manager for GN Netcom / Jabra North American operations. "The Jabra BT8010 incorporates the most advanced features available in a headset while also offering a unique set of customizable tools that are easy to use. The seamless functionality of the product makes listening to music and taking calls as simple as can be."

"Music is a permanent part of the wireless landscape," said Patrick Bucci, director of accessory products for Verizon Wireless. "Customers can wear the Jabra BT8010 as a single headset for voice calls by day and turn it into a stereo headset whenever they want to hear their favorites V CAST Music tunes. This headset gives customers up to 10 hours of talk time and up to 6 hours of music listening time which makes it the perfect accessory for today's busy customer."

The headset features Bluetooth 2.0, the latest in wireless mobile technology, and provides enhanced usability with longer talk time and a clearer signal due to increased bandwidth. The Jabra BT8010 receives and plays Bluetooth stereo music direct from mobile phones or music players that support the Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) for advanced stereo and the Audio/Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP) for remote control from the headset.
