Safety First — Verizon Wireless Store In Wenatchee, Washington, Hosts Child Safety Day


Representatives from the Wenatchee Police Department — VIPS (volunteer in police service), Chelan County Fire District 1, City of Wenatchee Fire, Red Robin, Verizon Wireless sales team members - Dawn Sims, Angela Stanley, Ricky Garza, Mike Lehr.


Verizon Wireless, operator of the nation's most reliable wireless voice and data network, will host a child safety day at its Wenatchee store. The Wenatchee Police and Fire Departments will fingerprint and create ID Card Kits for children. Fire Fighters will teach stop, drop and roll techniques and conduct tours of their fire apparatus. The Red Robin bird will give away a free kids' meal coupon for every child attending the event.

Verizon Wireless experts will demonstrate Chaperone SM service, which offers parents a way to monitor the location of their child's phone through their own handset or on-line, and even receive alerts when the child's phone has left the predetermined area. Experts will also demonstrate how to use Verizon Wireless Mobile Web to set up automatic delivery of Amber Alerts.
