In The Market For A New Verizon Wireless Juke By Samsung? Verizon Wireless Reminds Customers To Donate Their Old Phones To HopeLine

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — For the thousands of customers nationwide who have or will soon get the new Verizon Wireless Juke by Samsung — or for those customers anxiously awaiting Verizon Wireless' cool phones that will be available for the holidays — Verizon Wireless has an option for the handset they are replacing. Customers can donate their old and no-longer-used wireless phones to the company's HopeLine® phone recycling program to benefit domestic violence prevention and awareness programs nationwide.

During October, National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and throughout the year, HopeLine collects no-longer-used wireless phones, batteries and accessories in any condition from any wireless service provider at Verizon Wireless Communications Stores nationwide. Phones that can be refurbished are sold for reuse and those without value are disposed of in an environmentally sound way. Proceeds from the HopeLine program are used to provide wireless phones and cash grants to local shelters and non-profit organizations that focus on domestic violence prevention and awareness.

The Juke, a slim flick phone featuring a music player and 2 GB of internal memory, is currently available for $99.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement online at and in more than 2,300 Verizon Wireless Communications Stores. Other phones in Verizon Wireless' 2007 holiday collection include the BlackBerry® Pearl™ 8130 smartphone, the Venus™ by LG and the Voyager™ by LG. Customers can donate their old phones to HopeLine at the same time they purchase their new phones at Verizon Wireless Communications Stores from coast to coast. More information about these phones and other devices from Verizon Wireless will be available at launch.
