Charlotte, North Carolina, Resident Brian Hoey Wins National President's Cabinet Award

CHARLOTTE, NC — Brian Hoey, a Charlotte resident and national account manager for Verizon Wireless, has been named to the company's President's Cabinet for ranking in the top one percent nationally in sales for the nation's most reliable wireless network.

Hoey was one of just six people in North Carolina to earn the distinction for performance within the sales organization team, among the more than 424 national sales managers at Verizon Wireless nationwide. In 2007, there were 207 winners out of more than 15,000 sales employees.

Hoey's day-to-day responsibilities include helping all the federal and public safety customers with their wireless voice and data service needs.

"Brian has a well-established reputation of outstanding performance throughout his tenure with Verizon Wireless," said Jerry Fountain, Carolinas/Tennessee region president for Verizon Wireless. "He continually demonstrates exceptional sales leadership and has distinguished himself within the company."

Hoey also won the Winners Circle Award in 2005, 2006 and 2007 for the sales team that achieves over 110 percent quota.
