ROYAL OAK, MI — Verizon Wireless relocated and expanded its Royal Oak Communications Store to 31941 Woodward Ave.
The new 3,500-square-foot store is the first in Oakland County and only the second in southeastern Michigan to showcase a new and highly interactive retail concept that is a departure from Verizon Wireless’ traditional retail store design.
Customers can pick up and try more than 40 functioning wireless phones and experience on-demand access to more than three million downloadable songs and cutting-edge 3D games, short news, weather, sports and entertainment video clips. The store also features accessories such as Bluetooth® headsets as well as laptops with wireless cards and modems and interactive television screens.
“Residents in the Royal Oak/Birmingham area will now have much easier accessibility to the exceptional products and services that Verizon Wireless customers deserve and expect,” said Greg Haller, president–Michigan/Indiana/Kentucky Region, Verizon Wireless. “This new retail concept is the blueprint for an entirely new approach to customer service, and it delivers a shopping experience currently not offered by any other wireless provider.”
The new Verizon Wireless Communications Store, managed by Jeff Westlake, is open Monday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The store’s phone number is 248-549-4177.
