LAS VEGAS, NV — Wireless users in more Southern Nevada locations are now experiencing expanded voice and data coverage thanks to the addition of three new cell sites from Verizon Wireless, the carrier with the highest customer loyalty.
The new sites improve 3G coverage and call capacity for customers:
- Near the intersection of Centennial Parkway and Durango Drive, and surrounding area
- Along the south end of the Mountain’s Edge residential community
- Near the intersection of Blue Diamond Road and south Dean Martin Drive, and the surrounding area, including the Silverton Hotel and Casino
With the improved network coverage, customers can use their wireless phones and devices to make more calls; send and receive e-mail, text and multimedia messages; download music, games and ringtones; and view high-quality videos all while on-the-go.
Last year, Verizon Wireless invested $50 million dollars in Nevada’s network. Nationwide, the company has invested more than $48 billion since it was formed – $5.5 billion on average every year – to increase the coverage and capacity of its national wireless network and to add services like BroadbandAccess, V CAST, VZ Navigator(SM) and many more.

In the third quarter of 2008, the company delivered more than 80 billion text messages and nearly 1.5 billion picture/video messages. Customers also completed 43 million music and video downloads.
