Retired U.S. Soccer Star Alexi Lalas Headlines Verizon Wireless Youth Soccer Clinic-January 24th in Honolulu

HONOLULU — Verizon Wireless will be sponsoring a Youth Soccer Clinic in Honolulu on January 24th. The soccer clinic is free and open to kids 5 – 17 years of age. Professional instructions will be led by former soccer star Alexi Lalas! An autograph signing session will be held at the end of the clinic.

Alexi Lalas is a retired American soccer defender, who became one of the most famous soccer players in the United States after he played in the 1994 FIFA World Cup. He became the first modern-era American soccer player to play in the Italian Series A. In the MLS he played for New England, New York, Kansas City and Los Angeles.

At the clinic, participants will receive a free adidas soccer jersey, water bottle, and sports pack. In addition, the first 100 kids to register will receive a free adidas soccer ball.

Verizon Wireless will be hosting two clinic sign up sessions at the Pearl Highlands & Moanalua retail stores January 17th & 18th.
