WOOBURY, MN — Verizon Wireless, the wireless company with the highest customer loyalty, has activated three new cell sites in Woodbury, Minn., which will enable more customers to use their wireless phones concurrently to make calls; send and receive e-mail and text, picture and video messages; access the Internet; view high-quality videos; and download music, games and ringtones, while enjoying clearer reception and fewer dropped calls.

One new cell site, located near the intersection of Valley Creek Road and Woodbury Drive, improves coverage in the area bounded by Brookview Road in the north, Lake Road in the south, Cottage Grove Drive in the east, and Radio Drive to the west.

Another new cell site, located near the intersection of Manning Avenue South and Brookview Road, improves coverage in the area bounded by 10th Street North in the north, Valley Creek Road in the south, Neal Avenue South in the east, and Lake Elmo Avenue (Cottage Grove Drive) in the west.

The third new cell site, located near the intersection of Manning Avenue South and Bailey Road/40th Street South, improves coverage in the area bounded by Valley Creek Road in the north, Dale Road (50th Street South) in the south, Neal Avenue South to the east, and Cottage Grove Drive in the west.

These new cell sites are part of Verizon Wireless' continual effort to expand coverage, increase capacity and enhance the quality of its wireless voice and data network in Minnesota and throughout the country. Verizon Wireless has invested more than $50 billion since it was formed — $5.5 billion on average every year — to increase the coverage and capacity of its national network and to add new services. In 2008, the company invested more than $85.7 million in its Minnesota network improvements.
