Traditional Hawaiian Blessing Friday At Expanded, Remodeled Honolulu Verizon Wireless Store

HONOLULU, HI — Wireless users on O‘ahu who are looking to get hands-on experience with cutting-edge voice, data, music and video devices have a new place to call home.

This Friday, Verizon Wireless officially opens its first “evolution” communications store in Hawai‘i at Honolulu’s Pacific Guardian Tower. A traditional Hawaiian blessing ceremony and lei untying with Kahu Sherman Thompson begins at 8:30 a.m. on Friday. The newly remodeled store at 1440 Kapiolani Boulevard is double the size of the previous store at PGT and offers consumers hands-on interaction with wireless voice, data, music and video services in a sleek, new full-service environment.

Wireless customers in Honolulu can sample a wide array of fully-activated new phones and devices first hand. What’s more, data users can learn how to stay connected in more places with wireless data access on PC cards; learn about MIFI (your own personal Wi-Fi hotspot); try the new mini netbooks; and so much more.
