Residents Of Deephaven, Minnesota, To Benefit From Verizon Wireless Network Enhancements
DEEPHAVEN, MN — Verizon Wireless has activated a new cell site in Deephaven, which enables more customers to use their wireless phones to make calls, send and receive e-mail and text, picture and video messages, access the Internet, view high-quality videos, and download music, games and ringtones, while enjoying clearer reception and fewer dropped calls.
The cell site, located on the east side of Lake Minnetonka near the intersection of Minnetonka Boulevard and Cottagewood Road improves coverage in downtown Deephaven. Coverage is also improved from the cell site north to Park Place; south to Vine Street; east to Eastwood Road and west to Lake Minnetonka.
“This new cell site was built to ensure that our customers in Deephaven can rely on their wireless devices for everything from making calls and sending messages to surfing the Internet and getting e-mail,” said Nancy Clark, president–Great Plains, Verizon Wireless. “The most advanced device is only as good as the network it runs on. We continue to optimize our network so that it remains the most reliable in the nation.”
This new cell site is part of Verizon Wireless’ continual effort to expand coverage, increase capacity and enhance the quality of its wireless voice and data network in Minnesota and throughout the country. Verizon Wireless has invested more than $55 billion since it was formed—$5.5 billion on average every year—to increase the coverage and capacity of its premier nationwide network and to add new services. In 2009 alone, the company invested $7 billion to expand and advance its network.
