Two Local High Schools In Pennsylvania Have A Shot At $10,000 In Verizon Wireless TXT2Win Contest

PITTSBURGH, PA — Two area schools including Penn Hills Senior High School and North Allegheny High School have a chance to win $10,000 from Verizon Wireless if local fans can cheer loudest … with their fingers.

Through the Verizon Wireless High School TXT2Win contest, students, parents and fans of these high schools simply need to send a text message to 66861 with the school’s corresponding special contest code:

  • PHSHS: Penn Hills Senior High School
  • NAHS: North Allegheny High School

Participants can also visit to vote online and increase the school’s odds of winning.

Penn Hills and North Allegheny will be competing against 22 other high schools from Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. The school with the most votes by November 4 wins the $10,000 prize, but all participating schools will receive a $1,000 donation at an upcoming sporting event. Verizon Wireless is giving away a total of three $10,000 cash prizes to high schools throughout the Midwest.
