DENVER, CO — Wireless calling, text messaging and surfing the Web on the Verizon Wireless high-speed 3G network is now easier and faster for residents and travelers across the Front Range thanks to more new cell sites. The sites expand 3G wireless coverage and capacity in the following locations:
- Boulder – CU campus surrounding the Coors Event/Conference Center
- Conifer – Hwy 285 and Richmond Hill Road, near Log Trail
- Denver – Mineral Avenue near South Park Lane
- Evergreen – Downtown area near Evergreen Lake
- Golden – South Golden Road and the base of Lookout Mountain
- Morrison – Area near Summer Street and Walker Road
- Parker – Lincoln Avenue and W. Parker Road, near Stonegate neighborhood
The company’s ongoing network investment in Colorado now totals more than $1 billion, including $111 million in 2010. Since the company was formed, Verizon Wireless has invested more than $60 billion – $5.7 billion on average every year – to increase the coverage and capacity of its premier nationwide network and to add new services.
