LAS VEGAS, NV — Wireless calling, text messaging and surfing the Web on the Verizon Wireless high-speed 3G network is now easier and faster in Henderson thanks to a new cell site added in the first quarter. The site expands 3G wireless coverage and capacity in the surrounding neighborhoods near South Eastern Avenue and Sunridge Heights Parkway.
The company’s ongoing network investment in Nevada now totals more than $590 million, including $76 million in 2010. Since the company was formed, Verizon Wireless has invested more than $65 billion – $6 billion on average every year – to increase the coverage and capacity of its premier nationwide network and to add new services.
The network upgrade is part of the company’s ongoing investment to keep improving and strengthening the nation’s largest and most reliable 3G wireless network.
