BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Verizon Wireless customers are graduating to enhanced 3G network coverage, thanks to newly activated cell sites across the country.

Whether attending a high school graduation ceremony, moving back home from college, or celebrating recent achievements, customers can count on the Verizon Wireless 3G network to stay connected. Over the past two weeks, Verizon Wireless announced new cell sites to enhance 3G network capacity and coverage in:

Verizon Wireless also activated a temporary cell site in Bethel, N.Y., to increase capacity for concert-goers looking to enjoy outdoor music. New cell sites in Port Huron, Mich., and Erie County, N.Y., also allow residents and travelers on the Verizon Wireless network to stay more connected by the shores of the Great Lakes.

The Verizon Wireless 3G wireless network carries data sessions for customers with the latest wireless devices and smartphones, including the new iPhone 4 from Verizon Wireless. Verizon Wireless network enhancements are part of the company’s aggressive annual network capital investment program to stay ahead of the growing demand for voice and data services.
