CALUMET, MI — Verizon Wireless today announced a $20,000 Verizon Foundation grant for Barbara Kettle Gundlach Shelter Home for Abused Women Inc. in Calumet. The grant will help the organization continue to reach toward its mission to provide essential support services to domestic violence survivors in the Calumet area.
"This funding from Verizon Foundation helps us do important work in the prevention of domestic violence," said Emily Newhouse, executive director, Barbara Kettle Gundlach Shelter. "We are thankful for Verizon’s support and this wonderful opportunity for our community to work together."
The grant was presented by Verizon Wireless on behalf of the Verizon Foundation.
