MERIDIAN, ID — Wireless users in Meridian who want hands-on experience with the latest voice, data, music and video devices have a striking new place to call home. Among the first-of-its-kind Verizon Wireless retail stores anywhere in the country, the 4,300 square- foot location is the latest evolution of the company’s retail store design. It features an open, spacious sales floor with interactive demo stations allowing customers to immerse themselves in hands-on experience with the latest “live” wireless devices. These include a variety of 4G LTE smartphones and tablets that offer wireless data, music, video services and location-based services. The new store also offers customers a “paperless” environment with digital brochures and the option to receive digital purchase receipts by e-mail rather than on paper.
The new store at 3311 N. Eagle Road in Meridian opens Friday, May 25, at 10:00 am.
“We are very proud to bring one of the first of our newly-transformed retail stores to Meridian,” said Melanie Braidich, regional president for Verizon Wireless. “I know customers will find it a welcoming environment for both shopping and customer service. It’s the perfect venue for keeping with our commitment to deliver innovative voice and data plans, exciting new devices and services and the best possible wireless experience.”
The new Meridian store will apply for LEED certification from the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). The store’s design optimizes water and energy use, enhances indoor environmental quality and reduces waste through specifications and responsible procurement and construction practices. The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System™ is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high-performance green buildings.
Additional convenience features of the Meridian store include:
- Expanded floor space with interactive “demo zones” guided by knowledgeable staff
- Integrated systems and enhancements designed to streamline the sales process
- Check-in kiosk for customer sign-in and faster service
- Easy to locate technical assistance and customer support areas with interactive displays
