COLUMBIA, MO — Verizon Wireless customers will be able to experience the speed and capabilities offered by its 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network when it is introduced in Boonville and Rocheport, Missouri on August 16, the company announced today.
The new market launch will provide customers in Boonville and Rocheport access to the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network to locally surf the Web, stream music and video, quickly access over-the-air applications, and stay in touch with family and friends at speeds up to 10 times faster than before. Verizon Wireless currently covers more than 230 million people in 337 markets across the United States with the nation’s largest 4G LTE network.
When Verizon Wireless 4G LTE launches, customers who visit or live in areas along Interstate 70 between the Pilot Grove exit (Exit 98) and the Midway exit (Exit 121), including Boonville and Rocheport, and along old Highway 40 from Boonville to Rocheport (including New Franklin) will have access to the nation’s fastest 4G network. Midway Truck Stop will be at the very outer edge of the new coverage area.

Verizon Wireless customers can also take advantage of HomeFusion℠ Broadband, a solution that leverages the power and speed of the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network to deliver high-speed, in-home Internet access for residential broadband, particularly in areas where Internet options are limited or are not currently available.
In real-world, fully loaded network environments, Verizon Wireless 4G LTE customers should experience average data rates of 5 to 12 megabits per second (Mbps) on the downlink and 2 to 5 Mbps on the uplink.
