GREAT BEND, KS — The Great Bend Verizon Wireless Communications store is teaming up with Park Elementary to help members of the community get ready to go back to school. School supplies will be collected at the Great Bend Verizon Wireless store on August 10-12, with donations going to Park Elementary School.
“We are so happy to be in a position to help local schools in the community,” said Brendan Fallis, president Kansas/Missouri region, Verizon Wireless. “Verizon Wireless is committed to the communities we all call home, and it’s always refreshing to see neighbors helping neighbors.”
As a token of appreciation for their donations, customers may receive a small gift while supplies last. At the Great Bend Verizon Wireless store, a limited number of Verizon Wireless T-Shirts will be handed out to those who donate.
During the back-to-school drive, residents are encouraged to drop off supplies at the local Great Bend Verizon Wireless store, located at 3120 10th St., during regular business hours, Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. – 7 p.m., and Sunday, 12 p.m. – 6 p.m. Needed school supplies include packs of paper; packs of pens and pencils; notebooks; folders; and three-ring binders.
