Verizon Wireless 4G LTE Network To Expand To Communities Near St. Louis, Missouri

ST. LOUIS, MO — Verizon Wireless today announced that customers in the St. Louis area will be able to experience the speed and capabilities of America’s largest 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network in more places when the company expands in several towns west of St. Louis leading to Warrenton on Sept. 20.  With the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network, customers can experience innovative technology in their everyday lives, through solutions such as viewdini and more, all made possible by 4G LTE.

Verizon Wireless currently offers the nation’s largest 4G LTE network, covering more than 75 percent of the U.S. population in 371 markets across the United States.  The Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network is currently available in St. Louis, throughout large portions of the metropolitan area.  Now, with the planned network expansion, residents in areas such as Festus, Old Monroe, Winfield, Hawk Point, Wright City and Warrenton in Missouri and Godfrey, Highland and Trenton in Illinois will have access to the nation’s fastest 4G network, to surf the Web, stream live music and video, and stay in touch with family and friends, all with speeds up to 10 times faster than before.

In real-world, fully loaded network environments, Verizon Wireless 4G LTE customers should experience average data rates of 5 to 12 megabits per second (Mbps) on the downlink and 2 to 5 Mbps on the uplink.
