Wounded Warrior Project Bundles Raise Funds to Support Veterans

Last week, many of us paused to pay tribute to the men and women who have died while serving in the armed forces, as well the more than 23 million veterans currently living in the U.S. These individuals bravely face combat and often return home with physical and emotional challenges.

The Wounded Warrior Project began in 2003 when several veterans and their friends heard the stories of the first wounded soldiers returning from Afghanistan and Iraq and took action to help others in need. Since launching 10 years ago, the organization has provided support for more than 35,000 veterans and their families as they recover from their injuries.

Consumers now have another way to support the organization. Verizon Wireless has teamed with Samsung Telecommunications America and Brightstar to offer a Wounded Warrior Project bundle. The bundle, available exclusively in more than 3,500 select Walmart stores for $14.88, includes the Samsung Gusto 2 and a Samsung Bluetooth headset. Consumers who purchase the bundle can choose a monthly plan $35 or $50 that includes minutes of airtime, unlimited text and mobile web. For every bundle sold, Brightstar will donate $1 to the Wounded Warrior Project.
