Pass Along Hope and Help Support Domestic Violence Victims

Media contact(s)

Domestic violence, while pervasive throughout our society, doesn’t come close to receiving the public attention it deserves. It’s been called a silent epidemic. That is why, in partnership with the Philadelphia Eagles, Verizon Wireless has launched the Pass Along Hope campaign, which seeks to raise awareness and spur constructive dialogue within the community.

Throughout April, Verizon Wireless and the Philadelphia Eagles are encouraging the public to share messages of hope via Twitter using the hashtag #EaglesVZWHope and to donate old cell phones, accessories and batteries to HopeLine from Verizon. HopeLine recycles donated devices and accessories and turns the proceeds into support for domestic violence organizations nationwide.

For every tweet and phone donated, Verizon Wireless will donate $1 (up to $15,000) to Philadelphia Tri-State area domestic violence prevention organizations, so they can continue their critical life-saving work.

Participants can share their message of hope by tweeting, “I Pass Along Hope to domestic violence victims because _______ #EaglesVZWHope”
