“Let’s take a selfie.” It seems to be a pretty popular theme nowadays. Even world records are being set with them. It’s clear – selfies are here to stay. Why not have a smartphone that takes that into consideration?
Combining the strength of the Verizon 4G LTE network with what Microsoft is known for – productivity – now you can get even more stuff done. Along with a 5-megapixel, wide-angle front-facing camera that captures great selfies in HD, the ease of Windows Phone® 8.1 with Lumia Denim, and Cortana, your very own personal assistant, make Lumia 735 a perfect smartphone for every occasion.
The Lumia 735 smartphone also has an auto-selfie mode via a preloaded Lumia Selfie app, so you can use the rear camera for selfies too. Just aim the rear camera at yourself and the phone will beep to help you get the camera in the right place and then automatically takes the photo for you. And Windows makes it easy to share your best shots on social media.
Another HD feature on the smartphone is voice calling. The Lumia 735 will be the 19th smartphone in Verizon’s portfolio to support HD Voice calling to other compatible Verizon smartphones.
“The Microsoft Lumia 735 is another great addition to our portfolio,” said Jeff Deitel, vice president of marketing, Verizon Wireless. “Customers who want a Windows device that helps them do what they need and want to do -- from taking selfies to sharing content over America’s largest and most reliable 4G LTE network –can now experience it all with the newest Lumia from Verizon.”
The Lumia 735 has a customizable start screen with Live Tiles as well as Action Center and Glance Screen, Word Flow and access to Microsoft Office to create and edit documents. The start screen isn’t the only thing that can be personalized. The Lumia 735 comes with entertainment features like the MixRadio app. It learns your musical tastes, so the more you listen, the more personal your playlist becomes. Gamers get access to Xbox Live for playing games, checking achievements, updating their avatars and more. You can also control your Xbox console with your phone using the Xbox SmartGlass app.
Tangled charging cables, bending down to look for them, lost under a desk – we’ve all been there. Wireless charging solves all that. You can charge your phone simply by placing it on a wireless charging pad (sold separately). The Lumia 735 is wireless charging ready out of box. And for some style, a variety of wireless charging back covers will be available for purchase ($24.99) – in orange, green, white, red, and cyan.
The XLTE-ready Microsoft Lumia 735 is available online starting today, June 18, and will be available in stores next month. The smartphone is available on Verizon Edge for$8 a month for 24 months; 0% APR (full retail price $192). And, for a limited time, bring your number to Verizon and get a $100 bill credit within 2-3 bill cycles for each new smartphone activated on Verizon Edge.
Now through July 31, 2015, customers who purchase and activate the Lumia 735 will receive one year of Office 365 Personal, included (while supplies last). You can install trusted Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote onto your PC/Mac, tablet or phone.
